Cannot telnet into my router, using cmd

Hey, in xp, i used to hit start-run then type in telnet 192.168.2.1 this brought up a command prompt and from there i could log in and change settings in my router. Well now with Vista i click on command prompt, but i do not know how to telnet into my router from there. Any ideas? Cheers

Hello,
telnet both client+server are disabled by default. you can turn them on by: Start > Control Panel > clicking on Programs > Clicking on 'Turn on or off Windows features'. Their bunch of checkboxes, towards bottom.
Good Luck, -Ben

Telnet is not installed by default in VISTA. Select Help, then type in telnet and it will guide you through the telnet install (easy).
